ABOUT ME
Hello,

My name is Amy Hwang and I am a design student based in Sydney, NSW. I am currently studying Bachelors of Textile and Design at RMIT Melbourne, hoping to graduate at the end of 2021.

Growing up in Australia and given the freedom to express ourselves through diverse ways, I found my interest in art and design. In order to pursue my long time dream of becoming a designer, I applied to Textile and Design after graduating high school.
Throughout the past few years in university, I discovered my passion for CAD, hand appliqué (sewing and embroidery) and print design. Additionally, discovered a deeper knowledge of the fashion and textile industry through research and projects. Hence, my career aspiration is to start up a business for womenwears, designing clothing that is sustainable and aesthetically appealing.

My work explores delicate and feminine floral prints, inspired by my surroundings and high end designers like Dior, Chanel and many more. I work with a combination of analogue and digital medium.
